What is the difference between an agent and a user

What is an agent?

An agent is a profile and contains the image, title, description, contact details and social media details of a team member.

Agent profiles are used for your advertising and display on your website, and are listed on listings.

You should have an agent profile for every member of your team regardless of whether they use Eagle or not.

What is a user?

A user is an email and password that allows you to login to Eagle. A user can be assigned to many types of data in eagle including:

  • Contacts
  • Tasks
  • Notes
  • Appraisals
  • Addresses
  • Communications
  • Automations

Users can also have permissions set to restrict access to certain areas.

You only need to setup a user account for anybody in your office that will accessing Eagle.

How are users and agents linked?

From the edit agent screen, you can attach a user to an agent.

This will bring across the image, description and contact details for the user. Any communications sent from a user will use a signature generated from the agent profile. Any automation actions that reference an agent, will be assigned to the linked user. Any permissions regarding properties will be linked to that user.

We highly recommend that all users are attached to an agent profile.
